A brief snyopsis of the PS4 exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare Pack DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight has been posted on the PlayStation website. In typical Scarecrow fashion, the villain will unleash a crazy amount of trippy drugs on the citizens of Gotham and leave a mess of hallucinating masses for Batman to fight through in order to bring down Dr. Jonathan Crane.
Here’s the official description from PlayStation:
Missing out on the Scarecrow DLC may not be quite as disappointing for Xbox One and PC users as missing out on the Catwoman playable character was when Arkham City DLC content was announced, but it is likely that completionists who don’t own a PS4 will still be annoyed by the locked content. The length of the DLC wasn’t specified, so we’re interested to find out how substantial the content will be.
The announcement and description of the Scarecrow DLC didn’t suggest it was a timed-exclusivity, but it seems possible that the content will eventually find its way to the other platforms. Worst case scenario, Xbox One and PC users may have to wait for a Game of the Year edition to compile all the DLC into one package.
After an unexpected delay, Arkham Knight is now likely arriving in February, which should give shoppers who are interested in the PS4 content plenty of time to go out and pick up a new console if they haven’t already. Most of the exclusive PS4 content for multi-platform games announced so far has been purely aesthetic, but the addition of more DLC that actually adds extra playable content, like the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack, may be more of a selling point to some gamers.
