Battlefield 3 earned itself many awards at gameshows, including one from us for ‘Best Shooter’ at E3 this summer. The BF3 multiplayer showcase also offers gamers a first look into the four additional maps in the Back to Karkand DLC, which are remakes of classic Battlefield franchise locales....

It’s not easy to step into the ring with a franchise as popular as Call of Duty, but DICE has made that their goal since the very beginning. Even so, the difference between the two series run far deeper than mere gameplay, as the developers have stated how they would consider the yearly cycle CoD currently enjoys a serious risk of ‘diluting’ a franchise. It’s not hard to see the substantially different features the games will be utilizing, and the massive multiplayer battles that Battlefield 3 will make possible is worth the price of admission alone....

[HTML1] Electronic Arts is hosting an event next week to officially unveil Battlefield 4 to the world. The upcoming next-gen shooter from Swedish developer DICE is the successor to EA’s fastest-selling game of all-time and while the game’s existence was already made official during a promotion for Medal of Honor: Warfighter - not too mention, investor meetings - it wasn’t until last week when leaked artwork hit, did the marketing begin....

The trailer has that classic Vietnam feel and is narrated by an unknown voice that has roughly the same amount of enthusiasm as a soldier in that war would. The game add-on looks like it will add a layer of seriousness when compared to the main game’s silly, yet hilarious, characters. The Soul Calibur series is unique in that most of the characters’ costumes change completely from game to game. Though there are a few general guidelines, such as Ivy’s purple outfit, most of the costumes from one game don’t reappear in the next. So a lot of effort is put into each costume for each character to make them unique and different. For Soul Calibur 5, however, the folks at Namco will be getting some help from the designer of the character Bayonetta....
