PlayStation today announced the next entry in their game-themed console series: Batman Arkham Knight. Similar to past special edition consoles, the Batman: Arkham Knight PlayStation 4 bundle will come with a limited edition Steel Grey PS4 system, complete with a Batman: Arkham Knight faceplate, a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and the final game in the Arkham series. These special edition game-themed consoles have obviously been extremely popular in the past and have no doubt helped PlayStation maintain its lead with current-gen console sales....

Telling the story of a younger and rawer Batman, Arkham Origins takes place on a fateful Christmas Eve night in which a $50,000,000 bounty is placed on Batman’s head by the criminal known as Black Mask. This attracts the interest of eight assassins all looking to kill the Batman and collect the bounty. It is an intriguing set up for a Batman video game and Warner Brothers has been hyping the title massively but with key creative shifts for the series, is Origins able to stand shoulder to shoulder with its predecessors?...

Battlefield 2042’s open beta was originally scheduled for September, but when it was announced that the game itself was being pushed back to November 19, the preview was inevitably postponed. Unfortunately, there was no indication of a new date. As such, fans of DICE’s first-person shooter franchise have spent the last fortnight wondering when they will finally be able to get some hands-on time with the new installment and its Conquest mode....

EA’s multiplayer shooter did not get off to the most auspicious start when it came out back in October 2021. Despite being one of the most hyped releases of the year, it was plagued with technical bugs, certain expected features were missing, and it was slammed for being poorly balanced. Since then, Battlefield 2042 has not received the constant post-launch support that you might expect from a game like this....

That all changed last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon when the first ever gameplay footage of Battlefield 3 running on a home console finally made its long-anticipated arrival. A pair of developers were on the talk show to showcase how the game works and more importantly, looks, running on PlayStation 3. Fortunately, the game still looks incredible. Sure, the difference is still noticeable between console and PC versions, but anyone who was remaining critical on the game because DICE and EA hadn’t shown off what Battlefield 3 looked like running on consoles can now put their worries to rest....

With the plethora of new games hitting the market just in time for the holiday season, it would be easy to miss the release of the fifth and final DLC for Battlefield 4. The DLC, called Final Stand, was released on November 18 for Battlefield Premium members, and will be available for non-Premium purchase on December 2. After a launch plagued with issues last year, Battlefield 4 has struggled to keep strong attention among gamers....

[HTML1] The official unveiling of Battlefield Hardline has certainly not gone according to publisher Electronic Arts’ plan, but then, it just wouldn’t be E3 without a little bit of chaos. After existence of the game - focusing on the war between cops and robbers - was leaked weeks ago ahead of schedule, fans have been waiting to see an official reveal at E3 2014. Luckily they must wait no longer, as the first official trailer for Hardline has been released, along with a confirmation that the game will be hitting the market on October 21, 2014....

Before we get into the discourse, Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and is slated for a November 3 release. It brings the world of Bakugan from the early 2000s animated series, SpinMasters toy line and trading card game to the Switch for the first time. It’s being published through Warner Bros. Games and developed by the aforementioned WayForward. This new action role-playing game will let players collect Bakugan–monsters from another dimension called Vestroia–assemble a team and battle others in a story mode and online....
