With the constant stream of positive and promising news coming from Rocksteady Studios, we weren’t expecting to hear something so disappointing, especially without much of an explanation. Although there is a lot to love about the Batman Arkham franchise, the series has been a terrible offender when it comes to retailer and console timed exclusive content. Most of the content eventually makes its way to all platforms as purchasable DLC, but gamers are left wondering if they picked the wrong platform during those first few months. Instead, gamers will step into the Batboots of a younger, more impulsive, and brash Caped Crusader - instead of the calculated veteran that fought-off the Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City....
Blackgate kicks off a few months after the events of Arkham Origins and finds Batman attempting to regain control of Blackgate prison (where Gotham’s slightly less criminally insane convicts usually end up). The narrative is delivered through a series of motion comic cutscenes, with an occasional high-def animated sequence that looks a little more at home in the game’s established world. Although the motion comics may be a bit jarring for gamers expecting full motion animations, the artwork is impressive and they help to capture the tone of the game....
The multiplayer expansion pack will include 15 new weapons, six new vehicles, 49 songs from the 60s and four new maps set in Vietnam. They’ve become such a huge problem that EA investors claimed after launch that the publisher misled them on Battlefield 4’s issues and quality. That has spawned several lawsuits that even a crack legal team would be hesitant to take on. Meanwhile, players have been so disgruntled that some have threatened to boycott Battlefield Hardline, the next game in the Battlefield franchise, saying that EA is establishing a poor track record of unfinished titles....
